This fun wildlife illustration features a Tortoiseshell Butterfly atop a yellow flower. This portrait really challenged me due to the intricate webbing and structures on the underside of the wing.

Hand drawn using pastel pencils, this piece challenged me and helped me to understand the intricacies of the tortoiseshells wings.
