My Process
On this page I will talk you through every step that goes into your portrait. From the sketch to the final drawing, each part is done with great care and with you included the whole way through.
Step 1
Painting a pet portrait will always start with this step. Before i can proceed, i will need to see the photographs of your pet that you wish me to work from. This is to ensure they are clear enough for me to produce the highest quality results. If possible, I will use your favourite photo of your pet before any other.
If you need help, I will work with you personally via email, social media, text, or call to find the perfect photo. If you live within a 10 mile radius of Bishops Waltham and would like me to come personally to photograph your pet, I am happy to visit and provide free photography for the cost of travel.
Photographs must be sent in digital format at high resolution via email, text or whatsapp. Please look at my photograph page found at the FAQ's at the top of this page. Or click the button below.
Step 2
Once I have checked the photographs and any requirements or delivery schedule has been confirmed, I will ask for a 40% non refundable deposit to ensure your booking.
Then the drawing begins. I will sketch out the initial outline of your pet(s) and send this to you via email, text or whatsapp to ensure you are happy with the composition. I will send updates every evening I work on the drawing. If stated that you would like less updates to leave it as a surprise please mention that to me.
A video showing parts of the process can be included if desired. This gives you an exclusive look into how your portrait is made. The video will be sent to you via email or social media on completion for you to keep.
Step 3
On completion of your portrait I will ask for the remaining balance using a credit or debit card on Paypal. On receipt of payment I will dispatch your finished pet portrait using Royal Mail special delivery. If you are local you are more than welcome to collect in person. All my drawings are packaged securely ready for you to frame.
Now you can enjoy your pets portrait as cherished reminder of them for years to come.
