About Me

Hello! My name is Hope and I'm a professional artist from Bishops Waltham, Hampshire in the UK. I specialise in pet and wildlife portraits with chalk pastels.

I started drawing from a very young age and my skill has progressed over the years. I've refined my craft since I started drawing as my full time career. I've always had an interest in the natural world, its become second nature to draw animals to me.

​

My work started when I sadly lost my heart dog Harmony in 2021 and even more so after losing my other heart dog Ron (pictured to the left). Our pets are so dear to us, and I know how special it is to capture them in a portrait.

I put so much time into my portraits, a piece of me goes into every single one. Only true care and dedication can bring them to life on the paper. I have painted many pets and spoken to many owners. Each one holds a similar feeling, how precious our pets are to us.
